Jan Fowler - Administrator

Jan Fowler

I was born in Christchurch where I did my schooling, played hockey during my time at Hagley High. My family moved to Auckland where I lived until moving down to Tauranga.

Our family have been in Tauranga for over 35 years now and I consider this very much our home. We have 3 children, all married and between them they have given us three lovely grandchildren, opening up yet another exciting path in our lives.

My husband and I are keen golfers and also enjoy fishing and travel, although work commitments do not allow Graeme the freedom to enjoy these as regularly as we would like.

I am an avid walker with a little miniature foxie named Fizz who is 5 years old, who keeps me motivated to do plenty of walking. Gardening is another great love of mine and I also find this a great way to relieve stress. So along with our family commitments, work and leisure activities, life is alway sfull and rewarding.

Debbie Karl - Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist

Debbie Karl

Debbie Karl operates her own clinic in Tawa Street in Mount Maunganui and she is our preferred provider for traditional chinese acupuncture.

In practice she utilises Acupuncture and Moxibustion (where a warming herb is burnt and held close to the skin) along with other techniques including cupping (glass suction cups, which are applied painlessly to the skin) and guasha (palpation and cutaneous stimulation where the skin is pressured) for physical based problems. She also practices another acupuncture style orientated towards addressing mental and emotional issues.

In this age of change and awareness around our medical options she embraces the opportunity to work alongside your doctor or other health professional to ensure a complete and holistic treatment program.

She is a Member of the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists and an ACC accredited provider.
